hey there! i'm andie, a nonbinary queer 25 year old artist. i love to draw and paint and imagine stories about my beloved characters that i've made. when i'm not doing arts and crafts i like to care for my houseplants and pets (i have a 5 year old cat and a 4 year old dog!). i also like to dabble in cooking and baking from time to time. i enjoy comics, video games, sci-fi and fantasy novels, and a wide variety of music. i love love love physical media. there's just something so nice about being able to hold something in your hands, you know? i think that's probably also why i love art so much. the act of creation is so satisfying and being able to touch and hold something afterwards is extremely rewarding.
when i'm not spending time indoors i love to take long walks with my dog, go hiking or swimming! i currently work a part-time customer service job, but i'm hoping to switch career paths soon. the water is calling me /hj /lh i love photography and space and it pains me i can never accurately photograph the moon. a more recent interest of mine is bugs, come tell me your favorite beetle?
as for why i created this website, to be honest i've been mulling it over for awhile. i vaguely remember creating a website ages ago when i was like 10? or so as a school project (i wonder what happened to that site..) and after seeing petrapixel's tumblr post about making an indie site, i knew i had a chance on my hands. not that i really needed a specific website for my art, but i do find myself pulling away from more traditional social medias and websites these days. i wanted a new venture, i suppose. something i could make my own and really personalize. and that's what i hope to do here... eventually. i'm still fairly new to the whole coding and css html javascript world so it may take me awhile to get things running the way i'd like. i also need to get some good photos of my art, i mostly do traditional (i love the textures it creates).
